The VN Commodore SS was first released in March 1989 and at the time was the top of the range sports model of the VN Commodore range. Under the bonnet was the all-new 5.0 litre fuel injected v8 engine with your choice of either the four-speed automatic or sportier five speed manual T5 transmissions. On the exterior there was the option of three colours which were Atlas Grey, Phoenix Red, Alpine White. Matched to that was the body kit that included front & rear bumper lip, side skirts, boot lip spoiler, SS decals and striping and driving lights on the exterior with unique SS alloy wheels. The interior fabrics incorporated a grey/red checker design for the SS range and power pack was optional which included power windows, central locking and electric aerial.

The car we present here is a beautiful example of the VN SS model. The Atlas grey metallic paint is in beautiful condition still sporting the original body kit, pin stripes, decals and alloy wheels. The interior is just as nice and still in the genuine material. This example also has the “Power Pack” which consists of central locking, power windows and power aerial. Under the bonnet is the original 5 litre V8 backed by the super desirable “M78” coded T5 manual transmission. This Commodore is showing just over 189,000km and still retains its logbooks and owner’s manuals. Located in Western Australia.
