1970 VG Valiant Hardtop (Sold)

The Valiant VG was a facelifted version of the Valiant VF with a restyled front grille and rectangular headlights. Sedans were also given new horizontal taillights. Rear end styling on the utility remained virtually the same for the third consecutive model series. From the A-pillar back, the two-door hardtop remained the same as the VF Valiant/U.S Dodge Dart. The VG range featured a newly introduced Australian built “Hemi” six-cylinder engine which was claimed by Chrysler to be the most advanced engine of its kind in the world.

Up for sale is this beautifully modified 1970 VG Valiant Coupe. Finished in Ford Cobalt Blue with a white rear tail stripe by Kranky Kustoms and stunning chrome work and badging. This Valiant rides on 18-inch Intro Billet mags with 215/45/18 tyres on the front and 235/45/18 tyres on the rear. Inside features Charger front bucket seats and standard rear seat all covered in beautiful beige vinyl. Fully functional air conditioning is a major asset to his car also. The original 245 and automatic have been upgraded to a 265 Hemi engine, Borg Warner four speed manual gearbox and a Centura diff. The engine has been tastefully modified with components such as a 245 head with Yella Terra roller rockers, Aussie Speed alloy inlet manifold and EFI Hardware fuel injection. The steering has also been upgraded with a VC Commodore rack and pinion set up. This Valiant presents in excellent condition and is now ready to view by appointment only at our Kogarah facility.
