The Ford Falcon XW is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 1969 to 1970. It was the third iteration of the second generation of this Australian-made model and also included the Ford Futura and the Ford Fairmont, the luxury-oriented version of the Falcon. The XW Falcon was released in June 1969 replacing the XT Falcon. The XW was an extensive facelift of the XT, featuring a new grille and tail lights. Almost all exterior panels were new and the interior was extensively redesigned. Production of the XW Falcon range totalled 105,785 vehicles. 2,287 XW Falcon GTs and 662 XW GT-HOs were built. The XW Falcon was replaced by the XY Falcon in October 1970.

If you like to go fast then this super tough XW Falcon ticks all of the boxes!! Starting life as a humble XW Falcon 500 and since transformed into this quarter mile monster!! Finished in one of Ford’s hero colours, Silver Fox and naturally matched by the iconic orange coloured GS stripe, driving lights together with all the original badging, moulds and sitting on iconic Five Slot wheels. Inside consists of front and rear bench seats covered in black vinyl, along with original black door trims, reproduction GT dash fascia with genuine gauges, genuine GS steering wheel and a rear window venetian. The only variation from originality inside is of course the B&M Quicksilver shifter and Autometer gauges hidden in the glovebox.

Perfectly hidden under the hood is where all the action is at. Starting with a 434 cube Windsor Dart Iron Eagle block, topped with a 1050cfm Dominator carb and a CHI intake manifold. Heads are also CHI items with Isky Gold Stripe series valve springs, Chrome-moly pushrods, Camtech solidroller cam with Crower roller lifters. The bottom end is made up of an Eagle 4340 crank, Clevite bearings, Oliver I-Beam rods and CP forged pistons. Giving the engine its spark is an MSD ignition system and pumping the oil is taken care of by a Moroso external oil pump. Behind this is a Pro Trans build Turbo 400 auto with a JW bell housing adapter and a TCE 5000rpm converter. The tailshaft is a Hardy Spicer item which connects to the 9” diff with a 35 spline Tru Trac centre with 3.25:1 ratio. Front and rear suspension is all fully adjustable Gazzard Bros.

This car is not for the faint hearted, having run a best time of 9.30 at 149mph in full street trim including full exhaust and competing twice in the Street Machine Drag Challenge event where it took out the Fastest Car No Trailer and also being featured in Street Machine magazine!! The car made 620hp on a hub dyno and 874hp with Nitrous!! Various other items such as nitrous bottles, full Pro Fab roll cage, Weld Aluma Star wheels with rear bead locks, GS hubcaps, parachute and harnesses can be negotiated into the price also. We can assist with transportation also. For any further information please contact Muscle Car Warehouse today!!
