Muscle Car Warehouse are excited to now offer for sale this 1968 Ford Falcon XR GT. The car that started the muscle car craze in Australia back in 1967. Believed to be one of only 596 examples made by Ford Australia and rarely offered for sale. This example was built in January of 1968 and retailed through Peter Wright Ford in Footscray, Victoria. Both the top and bottom of this car has been lovingly rebuilt, with the car rarely used since completion. The presentation of the undercarriage is as good as the rest of the car. Being built in 1968 means the XR was fitted with a 302 V8 Windsor engine and not a 289 making it somewhat rarer. Also running a four-speed manual transmission and the original diff. Of course, the interior is without exception and equally as nice as the rest of the car. The car also still has the original identification plate and ACCHS certificate.
