Holden Torana SLR/5000 L31 (Sold)

Mandarin Red Four Speed!!
Holden Torana SLR/5000 L31 - Muscle Car Warehouse

1976 Holden Torana L31 SL/R 5000.

The mildly facelifted LX series arrived in February 1976. Cosmetically, the most obvious changes were to replace the LH’s rectangular headlights with round headlights, side window surrounds were changed from body colour to black, and the front Holden badge was enlarged. A two-door hatchback body was introduced as an alternative to the four-door sedan, although the 1,897-cc Opel unit was not offered in the new body style. Soon after its introduction, in July 1976 the LX was subjected to performance-reducing engine modifications to comply with new ADR27A emission regulations. Less than two years into the SLR’s lifespan came the LX update. Visual changes were minimal, and power declined from 186kW to somewhere below 170kW (the A9X was rated at only 161kW) due to new emission measures. Prices increased dramatically, sending a 5.0-litre LX SLR soaring in value by more than 50 per cent against the original LH.

HDT VC Brock Commodore - Muscle Car Warehouse

1980 HOLDEN VC BROCK COMMODORE.
In late 1979, Holden pulled out of touring car racing after two years of domination by the LX Torana A9X SS hatchback. In 1980, this led to Peter Brock buying the Holden Dealer Team (HDT), though without Holden funding was needed to continue racing and development. This led to the creation of a modified VC Commodore, tuned and styled under the direction of Peter Brock who established HDT Special Vehicles, not only to produce enhanced versions of the Commodore but as a way of funding the race team. The result was a luxury-performance version of the VC Commodore, to be sold through select Holden dealers throughout Australia as the HDT Commodore. The HDT Commodore was powered by an HDT tuned 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 160 kW (210 hp) at 4500 rpm. The HDT Commodore was a limited edition vehicle, with exactly 500 production models produced. These only sold with [...]

1982 Ford Falcon XE S-Pack - Muscle Car Warehouse

1982 FORD FALCON XE S PACK.

Introduced on 11 March 1982, the XE was a revised version of the XD Falcon, which it replaced.  Its external differences were restricted to a new nose, new rear bumper, and taillights. The biggest technical change was the introduction of a four-link suspension system incorporating rear coil springs on the sedans. Wagons, Utes, and vans retained the rear semi-elliptical leaf springs as used on XD models. Up until 1991, the XE was Ford Australia’s last V8-powered Falcon. Manual transmission was available in 3-speed column shift and in the more common 4-speed floor shift. Automatic transmission was 3-speed, floor shift in 5-seater configurations and column shift in 6-seater units. Automatic was more common than manual, even though it was at extra cost in the GL and lesser range of vehicles. The XE was the first Falcon to be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, but only when packaged with the [...]
